I was recently invited to another one of ChineseBite’s huge food feasts and we all know that you shouldn’t eat before attending. This time, we went to Victory Seafood Restaurant at Crystal Mall for a dim sum feast. From what I remember, we ordered over 30 types of dim sum and we actually waited for everything to come before eating. Of course, foodies have to take their photo. I tried taking photos of everything but I didn’t get a chance to. Regardless, here are some of the photos from the event.
The lazy Susan was too small for everything.
Baked BBQ Pork Puns with Sweet Crust Topping
This was another favourite dish. I enjoyed the sweet and crumbly exterior with the savoury and hot BBQ pork inside.
BBQ Pork Pastry
Delicious pork filling but the pastry was a bit too doughy. Not bad though.
Smoked Salmon Fruit Salad
This is the Asian imitation of a fruit salad. You’ll find that it’s overall sweeter than most salads.
Deep Fried Pumpkin Pancakes with Sweet Taro Puree
Steamed Pork Rib with Taro
Steamed Bean Curd Wrapped in Mushroom and Abalone
My favourite dish out of the whole dim sum tasting! Savoury, somewhat greasy and very flavourful.
Steamed Rice Roll with Minced Meat and Chinese Donut (Yau Tiu)
Mixed Meat and Shrimp Dumpling in Soup
Sticky Rice Wrapped in Bun
Pan Fried Lotus Root Cake
Goes quite well with hot sauce but a bit dry on its own.
Siu Mai
See what I meant when we had a lot of food?
Pan Fried Shanghai Bao
Xiao Long Bao
Steamed Chicken Feet
I’ve actually never tried chicken feet because the idea of it sounds really gross but apparently these were pretty decent.
Steamed Assorted Mushroom Rice Roll
This was one of their better dishes. Savoury from the soy sauce and slightly sweet from the stuffed mushroom/
