The first thing I was recommended to try in New York City was the banana pudding at Magnolia Bakery. I was warned that there would be a huge line up outside of Magnolia Bakery mostly by the tourists, but since I went there at 10:30am in the morning, it was pretty empty. The idea of eating pudding for breakfast never crossed my mind till I ordered a “small” and the lady gave me a cup of pudding as large as my hand. I asked her “THIS is a small?” and she said “Yep, where are you from?”. For the rest of the morning, I walked around Avenue of the Americas scooping from my so-called “small” banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery
This is some creamy pudding! The texture was heavy at first then it slowly felt like a cloud dissolving in my mouth. I don’t like eating a banana by itself but I’m up for any dessert that has banana, such as banoffee pie. I have to say that this is the creamiest and banana rich dessert I’ve ever had.
If I were to go through a break up or a depressing situation, I would probably buy a large and finish it within a night because everything about this dessert from the banana bits to the cream was perfectly blended to fill you up with creamy and sweet goodness.
The pudding isn’t only cream, but occasionally there were cake and banana bits inside. I’m pretty sure that the Banana Pudding would be easily assumed as the Banana Bread Pudding.
