For all the Miku and Minami fans out there, here’s something to look forward to this summer. Aburi Restaurants Canada will be opening Gyoza Bar + Ramen this July 2014 on West Pender. This 80-seat, 2600 sq ft urban and rustic vibed Gyoza Bar will deliver authentic and innovative Japanese flavours to the table. Setting aburi aside, Gyoza Bar + Ramen will focus mainly on teppan gyoza and hand made ramen with special broths. Of course, anything by Aburi Restaurants Canada would always have a delicious twist to the ordinary.
“I look forward to opening Gyoza Bar down town very soon,” says Nakamura, President and CEO of Aburi Restaurants Canada. “As a restauranteur, I always want to either create or reinvent new ways of enjoying food, and Vancouver is certainly the city to do it. We hope people will enjoy our distinct vision for gyoza and ramen.”
Led by General Manager Nicola Turner, Corporate Chef Kazuya Matsuoka, and Chef de Cuisine Michael Acero, Gyoza Bar’s signature dish is Teppan Gyoza, which uses an ancient Japanese cooking technique with “imono” cast iron pans. The result will be crispy, juicy and extra savoury gyozas. Along with the teppan gyoza, there will also be a variety of gyozas on the menu with different stuffing.
Onto the ramen, all ramen noodles will be handmade. Matsuoka will introduce a classic ramen with a special tomato-saffron seafood broth. You will also be able to find other ramen broths along with tappas, desserts, handheld sandwich on the menu.
I’m excited, are you?
