Deer Garden Signatures

I have been going to a lot of comfort food spots because I was very stressed with exams. I’m finally done so I can finally catch up on all my overdue posts. After I was finished with a very difficult project, I wanted noodles, but not Japanese ramen. Jacky was feeling the same cravings too so he took me to Deer Garden Signatures for their noodle combos.

When we arrived at Deer Garden Signatures at 6:30pm, the restaurant was already packed with a waiting list. I was worried that we would have to wait for a while but since it was only the two of us, we only waited for 15-20 minutes tops.

Laksa Soup Combo

What’s in it: Rice noodles, assorted vegetables, mushrooms, sliced beef and beef balls.

The laksa wasn’t very spicy but it was very hot in a way that it makes you sweat and your body temperature elevate. For a cold winter day, this is quite perfect.

You can never go wrong with beef balls but I wouldn’t recommend sliced beef because it was too chewy.

Tomatoes and Pumpkin Fish Soup Combo

What’s in it: Rice noodles, assorted vegetables, mushrooms, sliced beef brisket, and sliced beef.

On a lighter side, there’s the odd combination of pumpkin and tomatoes. Jacky loves this combo but I was never a fan of tomatoes in my noodle soup.  On the brighter side, this was actually very flavorful and healthy; at least a lot healthier than the laksa soup.
